This page explains how content on Justfixemail gets written, checked, and maintained — so you know what's behind the guides before you follow them.

Who writes our guides

Every guide, knowledge base article, and blog post is written by a named person, listed on our Writers page along with their focus area. We don't publish unattributed or AI-generated content without human review — a real person is responsible for every fix we publish.

How a guide gets tested

1. Steps are performed on the actual app or service being covered, not written from memory or documentation alone.
2. Where a fix depends on settings that vary by device or account type, the guide notes the scope explicitly rather than assuming one configuration applies to everyone.
3. Screenshots and menu paths are checked against the current version of the app at the time of writing — interfaces change, and we treat "this used to work" reports as a signal to review, not ignore.

Keeping guides current

Email clients update their interfaces and settings menus regularly. When the "Was this helpful?" feedback on a guide trends negative, or a reader flags something through our contact form, that guide goes back into the review queue. We'd rather mark a guide as under review than leave outdated steps live.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, an outdated menu path, or a step that no longer applies, please let us know with the guide name and what you found — corrections are reviewed and applied promptly, and we don't require you to create an account or jump through hoops to report one.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or paid by any of the companies covered on this site — email providers like Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Apple, and Mozilla, or internet service providers like Comcast/Xfinity, AT&T, Verizon, Charter/Spectrum, Cox, T-Mobile, Starlink, Telus, Bell, Rogers, or any other provider named in a guide here. Guides reflect what actually fixes the problem, not what any provider would prefer we say.

As of the date at the top of this page, this site runs no affiliate links, sponsored content, or paid placements of any kind — every recommendation in every guide is included because it's the actual fix, not because anyone paid for it to be there. If that ever changes, we'll disclose it clearly on this page and directly alongside any affiliate link or sponsored section it applies to, not just buried in a policy page nobody reads.
